I actually had the honour of visiting the John Sowden House in person after being commissioned by the couple who live there. They’d seen my rendition of the front of the house and requested a custom illustration of their courtyard, which became my first-ever “sequel” print.
Exploring the house felt like stepping into a villain’s lair. The dramatic architecture and the many cats roaming around only added to the feeling.
