About the Art
The Stahl House sums up everything I love about Los Angeles, all wrapped up in one neat, mid-century modern package. The architecture, the bright blue pool, the sun-soaked pavements, and the iconic city views, itโs all there. Every time I visit LA, itโs a tradition of mine to take the sunset tour.
This was the second print I created in this long running series, and I credit it as the one that truly started getting peopleโs attention. I originally illustrated the Stahl House as a way to escape my own dreary surroundings, and I think that's why so many people are drawn to it too. It's not just a print to hang on the wall, but a little escape to somewhere warmer and full of possibilities.
Why This Print Costs More
The paper. Hahnemuhle FineArt Pearl is a heavy cotton based paper with a soft pearl finish. It is what museums and galleries print on because the colors stay true for decades.
The ink. Giclee printing lays down archival pigment ink in fine layers, so the sky gradients and the tiny details in the windows come out the way George drew them.
The frame. Solid oak, real glass, assembled by hand and shipped ready to hang. No plastic, no clips, no assembly.
Paper weight: 285gsm.
Finish: pearl.
Archival rating: 100+ Years (Museum Grade)
Printed and framed in the USA.

I looked for a while on Instagram and other places. I liked all the work of George Townley. I ordered the Stahl House (I also live in SoCal but haven't yet visited... hard to get tickets). I am thoroughly delighted with the framed print and it is hanging prominently in my office. I have gotten some compliments and it is recognizable in my neck of the woods so people also seem to like that. I highly recommend the purchase of anything on the site... it was easy to order and quick to receive. Well packaged and secure shipping. No complaints.
Love this print, great quality, lovely color, always love mid century modern and this print encapsulates the stahl house beautifully. Canโt wait to pick up more drone George in the future.
Exactly what I wanted. Right size (36x24). I was debating what version to get - I already have a "nigh" version of the chemosphere house; I am glad with the "day" version... keeps me inspired at work :) Thank you!
Night time Stahl house is gorgeous. Picture doesn't do it justice. The lighting makes the pool sparkle. Love it
Love it
Store owner replied: I absolutely love this! The night variant paired with the walnut frame is my new favourite combo. Thanks so much for sharing.
The style of the photos and attention to the light at different times of day are excellentโI show my favorites in a gallery wall collection.
Print is perfect! The colors are so bold and really light up the room now that we have it hung.
Loved this one!
Love the colours and the style matches everything in our house. Thanks
Love my new art work.
I actually have the nighttime variant. Key contributor to my LA art wall, but itโs also great on its own. Beautiful work.
I bought this print for my son who lives in Los Angeles. I picked this one because I liked the colors and the theme. He agreed with me so I was very happy with my choice.
Beautiful picture, good customer service
