Inspired by the Tiki Theatre, I loved bringing to life a quirky, one-of-a-kind LA building that blends tiki style with an unusual history.
About the Art
This was a weird one, I was obviously drawing a porno theatre, but a tiki-themed porno theatre in LA was just too unique not to capture. Iโve always loved tiki and its history, so this was a really fun print to make.
Fun fact: the Tiki Theatre opened in the 1960s and, like many tiki spots in LA, combined mid-century Polynesian design with a completely unexpected purpose, making it a true one-of-a-kind slice of LA history.

Process Behind the Print
Each print begins with research and a hand-drawn sketch. I then do a quick colour study to capture the mood, before illustrating the piece in Photoshop, layer by layer, refining every detail as carefully as possible.
