About the Art
The Los Angeles Theatre, with its stunning French Baroque facade and luxurious interior, is a perfect example of a style unique to LA, blending European elegance with Hollywood flair. These theatres were not just places to watch films; they were experiences in themselves, built to reflect the grandeur of the golden age of cinema.
Downtown Los Angeles is home to an incredible collection of historic theatres. Unfortunately, many of these gems have either closed their doors or are now primarily used for private events, largely due to changing times and the evolution of entertainment venues.
Itโs a shame that so many of these iconic spaces are being lost to time, as they played such a vital role in Hollywoodโs story.ย Thankfully, like so much of Los Angeles, these theatres continue to live on through the big screen. Their cultural significance make them a favourite filming location, preserving their legacy for new generations to admire.

Process Behind the Print
Each print begins with research and a hand-drawn sketch. I then do a quick colour study to capture the mood, before illustrating the piece in Photoshop, layer by layer, refining every detail as carefully as possible.
