About the Art
This was my first London print, and this building means a lot to me. I came to London in 2017 for my end-of-year university showcase while studying illustration, and it was just down the road from Beigel Bake at the Truman Brewery. We ended up coming here every single day for lunch.
I remember that trip being the moment I realised I wanted to move to London, and Iโve been here ever since. Just a heads-up: ordering at Beigel Bake is not for the faint of heartโฆ donโt be slow, or youโll get shouted at by several people behind the counter, I learnt that the hard way.

Process Behind the Print
Each print begins with research and a hand-drawn sketch. I then do a quick colour study to capture the mood, before illustrating the piece in Photoshop, layer by layer, refining every detail as carefully as possible.
โGeorge Townleyโs fun, graphic art captures our streetscapes through rose-coloured glasses โ a reminder that sometimes it takes an outside perspective to appreciate how good you have it.โ
