About the Art
The Viper Room holds a special connection for me. Though Iโve never been inside for a show, itโs forever linked to the tragic passing of River Phoenix, one of my favourite actors.
Although River passed away before I was even born, his incredible body of work continues to keep his legacy alive for new generations, including myself.
I wanted this artwork to be a quiet tribute to him. The sign includes a subtle nod to his band, โAlekaโs Atticโ, a detail that only a few eagle-eyed fans have spotted when talking about this piece.
